Free Download Safety in Electrical Power Substation ppt

Welcome to our online file sharing project. Today's topic is Safety in power substation. This topic is originally presented by Pratik Joshi at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Raigad.

Introduction to subject:
1. Possibility and effect of electric hazard in electric power substation is always higher than any other electric accident. It may even burn whole substation.
2. As an electrical engineer, we must take care of some instructions and implement them in future e.g. designing, operating, etc.
3. In order to avoid future hazards and protect our power system against accidents caused due to human mistakes, useful tips have been given in presentation.
4. Touch potential and step potential have been included in presentation.
Till now, we are presenting power point presentation files. We hope you like our project. Click above to visit download center and download file.

Free Download Polymer Insulators ppt

Welcome to our online file sharing project. Today's topic is Polymer Insulators. This topic is originally presented by Aniruddha Kulkarni at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli.

Introduction to subject:
1. —Overhead line insulators are used to support the line conductors at tower or poles and to separate them electrically from each other.
2. —Polymer insulators are known as non ceramic insulators or composite insulators.
3. —This insulators mostly are used where high humidity and high temperature in atmosphere is present such as Arabian countries.
4. —Polymeric insulators have proved itself in many locations through the worlds as very good insulator against contamination
5. —Silicone rubber insulating material is considered through laboratory evaluation and field experience as the most suitable for HV application in harsh environment.
6. —The construction of the polymeric insulator, type of shed material, end fitting, fiber glass rod and manufacturing process are decisive factors in the overall insulator performance
— 7. —The GCC weather conditions are very harsh and require careful selection for the polymeric insulator.
8. —There is clear need to adopt short and long term evaluation methods for the polymeric insulator in cooperation with researching universities and testing laboratories.

Paper Presentation Tips

On 19th and 20th April, 2012, one of our group mate Pratik attended A state Leve Student Conference at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Raigad, Maharashtra. The conference named “Techno-trend-2012” covers the advance themes related to Renewable Energy Technologies; Power electronics, Automation & control ; Power quality &Power Issues. It was organized by Department of Electrical Engineering, & EESA Dr. BATU. In the conference, he presented a paper on "High Voltage Direct Current Power Transmission" i.e. "HVDC Power Transmission". So, this is the reason behind sharing this post with you all. We are going to tell you few tips regarding paper presentation. These are very simple and you can use them as checklist.

1. Follow given rules and regulations for the presentation e.g. Paper pattern, submitting date, etc. In case you come across any problem, feel free to contact organizers.
2. You should mainly focus on time management.
3. Try to obtain best paper format provided in rules. e.g. IEEE format, etc Because your paper reflects your hard work and sincerity.
4. Maximum 6-7 pages are appreciated.
5. Do not at all repeat points.
6. It is not mandatory to include all points in paper into presentation. So that you get more time to explain important point and can attract audience attention.
7. Feel yourself confident. You should know what to speak and how to speak. For this, try to study the paper at least 3 times.
8. Wear formal costume during presentation.

All the best for presentation from all Cool AMPSS...

PCB making: Short procedure

PCB making is an interesting art acquired by an electrical and electronics Engineer. In March 2012, Pratik and Sourabh (who has been admitted in D.BATU University, Lonere and Raigad) prepared two mini project circuits as their Workshop submission. Here, we will see how to make simple PCB circuit?
Insteead f wasting more time on praising their circuits, lets go the procedure:

1. To make simple PCB board, you should have a working circuit with you.

2. Place its components on Bred-board and check whether your circuit is working or not.
(If you are sure about your circuit that it is working then you can neglect this step but it is highly recommended to once check your circuit with the help of bred-board)

3. It is usual practice to use General PCB for mini projects. Go to market and buy a General PCB board. They are available in two different sizes. Small size costs for Rs. 10-15/- whereas medium size costs for Rs 50/-. Select best suitable size PCB with respect to your project size and no. of components involved in it.

4. Mark a path of your circuit on both sides of PCB using permanent marker. This will help you to prevent misplacing of components.
5. Place circuit components on their respected place and cut their legs by cutter. (Make sure that you have placed all the components with correct direction as their might occur a problem with anode and cathode sides of unidirectional devices like LED’s, Diodes, etc)
6. Now, its time to move on with Solder gun. We highly recommend to go for spot soldering. Use single stranded connecting wires for connection of any two points. Do not place Solder gun on components legs continuously for more than 3 seconds as it may cause damage to it.
7. After completing soldering process, try working of your circuit. It has been observed that there exists open circuit due to dry soldering. Troubleshoot it and go on trying till your circuit doesn’t work.
Some extra points;
I) If you wish to check functionality of any single device, it is worth that you remove its at least one leg from circuit.
I) While using IC, always use IC holder. It will increase flexibility of circuit.
