We have decided to tag all the photo's and video's. It is not easy job to stick logo on 1000+ images and video's. Very time consuming and boring job!

Detail Question Answers asked in Thermax campus interview

Hey, we are back as promissed.

So, we were discussing about Campus interview held in 20th Nov. 2010 in our college. This post is specially for those people who are trying for campus selection. This blog will preserve our beautiful memories together as well as share them with you.

Before starting, Let us clear that here we are not mentioning all question answers but only few of them. They  will clear your idea of interview. For interview, there were two staff of company. One madam from Human Resource (HR) depatrment and one technical person.

Moneshwar's experience:

Q1: Explain KCL and KVL laws?

A: I explained it by drawing circuits.

Q2: Which type of Circuit Breaker is used for protection of T& D lines?

A: Distance protection Pilot wire, etc.

Q3: How induction motor starts?

A: I told them methods of starting and explained them briefly.

Q4: Which type of switch gear is used for controlling illumination?

A: SPDT and DPDT switches.

Q5: Do you want to complete graduation after diploma?

A: Yes. I want to complete my graduation.

Q6: If you got the job and admission for BE simultaneously then what will you choose?


A: Job.

Q7: You have written you want to do something for your country. Have you passion about it?

A: Yes. I have passion. I would like to work for the students studying in Municipal schools.

Q1: Pratik, I am remembering that you have submitted your written test 10 min. before time. Till you have

selected for interview round. Whether you were sure about your answers and selection to this round?

A: I have given many competitive exams like this so I know how to face such exams. I have completed my
paper within time and rechecked it. I have already corrected 3-4 wrong answers so I was unable to do  anything that time. I.e. why I submitted my paper.

Q2: In our form you have written that you are proud to be an Indian then why your role model is Bill Gates? He is non-Indian.

A: I am proud to be an Indian but I like Bill Gates from my most child hood days. In that days I don’t know whether he is Indian or non Indian. And Role model is role model, not necessary to choose our ideal person from only motherland.

Q3: You have written here that you like Rani Mukherjee. Can you tell some recent news of Rani?

A: Ya. Her upcoming film No one killed Jessica’s video launch take place. Few days ago she delivered Indira Gandhi international peace award to “Dalai Lama”. (I think they want to hear second news from me.)

Q4: How will you provide COMPLETE protection to induction motor? Draw diagram and explain.

A: I drawn diagram and explained.

Q5: Why are you choosing job instead of higher education?

A: Mam I have learnt theory much more. Now I want to see and experience how actually the plant works? What are its strengths? I wanna some practical before moving to further education.

Q6: What will you say to that particular part of T & D system which starts from distribution transformer and ends to the consumer’s house?

A: Feeder. (They said that is wrong) secondary distribution (again wrong) (Here I failed to give answer.)

Q1: what is meaning of my name and what is its pronunciation?

A: I said serene means calm, peaceful and cheerful.

Q2: how was your experience?

A: it was excellent as it is my first attempt about the interview.

Q3: madam asked why doesn’t do degree as you are excellent in your studies?

A: I want to do degree. It’s final. But if I am getting training side by side its good

Q4: which sports do you like to play?

A: table tennis, cricket, volleyball………

Q5: why do you want to join Thermax?

A: I said its good company and also want to take experience. As we need experience for future jobs.

Q6: what is the value of ^3 (root 3)?

A: I said no. Then I said it something 1.70. I don’t remember as we do all calculations on calculator. So we don’t need to remember these values.

Q7. Why there is need of starter?

A: to limit starting current which is 5 to 7 times of rated current?

Q8: draw Direct On Line (DOL) starter?

A: I had drawn in front of them.

Q9: they gave me a problem to solve without calculator………… 3phase, motor, 440v power factor 0.8 and power 7kw is delivered. Find rated current and also rating of starter?

A: I was unable to solve with calc. as calculations were complicated. Further they gave calc. and I solved it. They said technology has made man lazy.

Thermax in our campus

On 19th Nov. 2010, we enjoyed another special moment of our life ie. Campus Interview!!

Day before campus, we got a news that "Thermax" company is coming tomorrow for campus interview. We all connected each other and decided to attend campus. Company came at 12 O'clock.

There were three rounds, first was open for all. They gave us information about their company through presentations.

In second round, there was a written test of Multiple Choice Questions of 75 marks in which we solved 75 questions in 75 min. (No negative marking, Calculator not allowed!) Questions in the test were based on Aptitude, Mathematics, English Grammar, Technical (regarding with electrical).

We were 8 students, 4 of us were selected for next round ie. personal interview. Selected members were Moneshwar, Pratik, Serene and Sourabh.

We (selected members) filled a form given by company. That was too long and deep form. Then one by one we went for interview. (We will give you detailed Q. A. asked in interview in our next blog in December as our final exams are going on) Out of four, Pratik was selected for Job.

That's how we enjoyed our first interview. The moments we shared are unable to explain in words but this blog might help you for your first interview.

Celebration of 10-10-10

Hurray..  The 10-10-10 is now added in the history of our group. Actually there was no program decided to do. But after so many controversies (Biggest ever controversies during planning), a badminton match was decided to play and other plannings were made. First of all we decided to play badminton matches at Gymkhana but due to unavailability of court, we decided to play near Suren’s house. We played there for about 2 hours.

Later we decided to play Pool (Snooker) for the first time [but Suren had played many times and it was his idea]. That was one of the fabulous experiences for all of us.

After that we went to China Hut for dinner. Aniket was waiting for us at his home. A long tour and discussion is held at Railway pool, Madhavnagar. At 12 PM (i.e. at end of 10-10-10) we were enjoying Thumps UP! On terries of Aniket’s home.

Interesting thing to tell that we all slept at 3 AM (11-10-10) and joined class at 8 AM.

(Due to TY TENTION we cant upload some previous happnings e.g. Mahesh's birthday, Ganesh festival making Makar with LED's, etc. We will upload them soon....)

Eid Mubaraq !!!

      We enjoyed last year Eid festival with Sana, Trical Topper. The program was already planned. Actually Eid is declared on 10 Sept. 2010, but as per Muslim Society consideration Eid is celebrated on 11 Sept. (next day). We all were waiting for Sana's invitation because we all (Sana also) wanna a reason to see her house. But invitation didn't came.

      After all those phone calls and messages She told her the fact.

On 11 Sept.-

     Sana's house was as beautiful as her fathers art of decoration. She shown us the decoration schemes designed by her dad. (Sorry friends that decoration designs cant show you on blog due to business competition matter!) Introduction of everyone with her family members done (Which was official part) Some relations with Sourabh and Serene came to front in this introduction. Pratik and Sourabh started Sana's PC. (Which is shut down when we leave the house!). Tasty Shirkhurma gave real "Eid touch" to the event. Sana told meaning traditional photo's and poster ( as usuall, Moneshwar was cleared his DAUBTS!!)

       At the end, Official photo shooting is done. You will not see Suren in pics as he was in Pune during this Eid event. Following are the pics........

Now days, all our classmates think that there is nothing in Cool AMPSS.... This group is now just finished.

You think we are calm and we are unable to shine once again. But all the people who think like this are wrong. Malfunctioning our group’s personality anywhere is foolish work. (Don’t waste your time in such risky work!)

Now you will ask "What are you doing now?" so we would like to just advice you to see subtitle of this blog. "Now under TY Tension". This does not mean that we are busy in study. We know all the situation. Just wait and watch for next action.

On 3rd August, 2010. At 10 AM, We all classmates were ready for Bhosale sir's lecture. Like everyday, he came to class and announced that we will arrange a little program by paying reverence to the 2K10 pass out and Wce-Wce admitted students (our Seniors). He urgently called all them.
 In short speech, everyone gave a key of success. Sana asked girls for admitting in walchand. Industry returned Nitin Raval said, "If you want to do something in this (electrical) field the you must go for degree and ME. When I completed diploma, Bhosale sir told me about this but I preferred to in industry, but now I am realising that I was wrong."
 Diploma topper, Rohit Kurnekar said,"Don't depend upon studies, always understand each and every concept.My brother has done more than enough for me. well best of luck you all for exams." Sumit Patil said, "Attend every lecture, our all staff is student friendly so use this opportunity for your success".

After all, they all worked as BOOSTER in our last year studies. Hope this blog will help you to remind their "Inspiring words" anytime.

Finally married!

Today was the another special day for us. Our one of the friendly teacher Mr. Gavali sir finally got married. Six months ago, we got the news about sir's marriage program. We always preferred to ask sir about marriage date, but he always tried to neglect that iDiOT question.
Last week, we got the Confidential news about marriage. We confirmed it from sir's "WEEKLY LEAVE". Finally, sir called us for function and within one night we planned our program for the next day.
Marriage ceremony was memorable for us as we went too close with our other teachers. Aapte sir and Mane sir was rocking with their rocking BASUNDI. Diwan madam and Vanmane madam met us during lunch. We found a new angle of personality of Mr. Bhosale sir which will help us in our future.

Best ever weekend: Mirajwadi

Last week (5th and 6th June 2010), we all except Mahesh [as always] went to Chetan's gaon, Mirajwadi. two days weekend was enrgetic and enjoyable.
We all started from Sangli on saturday morning. Mirajwadi is very near to sangli (near to 15 km.). Travelling took much less time. Chetan and his family served us as homemate. Special thing to mention is meal with wide variety of dishes. We specially thanks for such ORIGINAL INDIAN TASTY VILLAGE DISHES. In the evening, we went for swimming. Only Chetan, Suren and Sagar entered in water. After that we went to movie "RAJNITI" in Sathe theatre,Ashta. All commented modern Mahabharat on the movie. After movie, we went to Chetan's friend's green house. Site of green house is near to Dange college, Ashta. Memorable was tea at college corner, Ashta.
Second day, in the morning we again went for swimming, then went to 'Sarvoday Suger mill'. Men at mill explained details of electrical section. Return to main road from Sugar mill was also interesting and cant explain in words. Hope you like the pics and video. We welcome your comments...
